I recently had the pleasure of staying at Cynynion Uchaf Farmhouse in Oswestry, and I must say it was an absolutely delightful experience. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warm hospitality and a genuine sense of care from the owners.
The farmhouse itself is a charming blend of rustic beauty and modern comfort. The rooms are tastefully decorated and impeccably clean, offering a cosy and relaxing atmosphere. The attention to detail is evident throughout, with thoughtful touches such as gifts for the kids, milk in the fridge, and even a bottle of Prosecco which added that touch of luxury.
One of the highlights of my stay was the breathtaking view surrounding the farmhouse. Nestled in the heart of the countryside, the property boasts stunning panoramic views of the rolling hills and lush green fields. It was a true retreat from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, allowing me to unwind and reconnect with nature.
What truly sets this farmhouse apart is the genuine warmth and hospitality of the owners. They went above and beyond to ensure that my stay was comfortable and enjoyable, offering helpful suggestions on local attractions and ensuring that I had everything I needed.

Cynynion Uchaf was an ideal location for us: four adults, three young boys and one small dog. We had a well-equipped farmhouse all to ourselves with no neighbours for miles, so it was very peaceful and relaxing.
There were plenty of rooms including a conservatory for us to separate if we wished. A lovely garden joined the house and immediately behind there was access to fields and woodlands with spectacular views of Wales to the west and Shropshire to the east.
Samantha and Edwin were very welcoming and helpful and delivered a superb meal for our first evening.
I would certainly recommend the property to anyone wanting a holiday in this beautiful part of the country.

We have just come back from an absolutely fantastic two-night stay here and wish we could have stayed longer. House is beautiful in the most stunning and peaceful surroundings, with absolutely everything you could ever need.
Samantha is just the best host you could wish for.
The house was spotless and nothing was too much trouble for her.

Our visit is still fresh in my mind: a wonderful experience from the second we opened the door. A very loved and peaceful home from home for all that venture. Every room will welcome you and fit any mood.
Very family friendly, full of board games and books. Plenty of big rooms to relax in or fill with laughter. A full kitchen capable of any meal, everything you could dream of needing. The surrounding vista is quiet and vast full of the perfect blend of green fields and trees, dotted with lambs and flowers.
I'm still blown away by my memory of my walk with a coffee through the garden up into the fields.

Myself and family stayed at this beautiful cottage over Easter time 2023. Where do I even start? The whole duration of our stay from the warmest welcome from Sam to leaving we were made to feel so welcome and the cottage is home from home set amongst such stunning countryside and scenery.
We had two young boys as well as five adults staying and our family dog Lottie was the first dog guest. We all felt there were plenty of spacious areas to relax and the log fire lit up in the evenings made it extra cosy. Everything about this cottage was fantastic and we couldn't recommend it enough. What a friendly welcome to this lovely house, which is comfortably furnished, well-equipped and has plenty of space. The garden is packed with beautiful spring flowers at the moment too. Great location for accessing the surrounding area. We had a super stay there.
Great place if you want a secluded farmhouse, furnished for normal living and cooking - is hot all you need and immaculately clean. The hooting of owls and the faint bleating of sheep and an occasional mooing cow for company our adult group enjoyed fabulous walking in the borderland.
Really friendly hosts (Sam and Edwin) pubs within walking distance (The Docks aka the old Cross Keys were excellent real ale and so welcoming ) and a great local taxi service (John) home... excellent!
The house was fantastic, even better than the photos, very clean, and very well equipped for the two families we had staying there. The location was beautiful and remote so just what we wanted and Samantha was fantastic working around our availability to sign us in and out. We will certainly be staying again.
Absolutely wonderful home from home. Every single detail has been thought of, the home is so unbelievably comfortable and well-equipped.
We had a fabulous pre-Christmas weekend here as friends and it was perfect for our group of 4+1 but there is an amazing amount of space (social and sleeping) so it would have been easily spacious enough for the full complement of adults! We loved it so much we even requested to stay an additional night, we just didn’t want to leave.

Fantastic farmhouse staycation! A lovely 2 night November break in the countryside, peaceful surroundings, beautiful views and the most comfortable, well-equipped farmhouse you could wish to stay in.
The large wood-burning stove in the main lounge makes the house lovely and warm and cosy. Together with the high-quality furniture and smart TV’s it is set for the perfect night in. The large farmhouse kitchen diner has a range cooker and is fully equipped with everything you would ever need. Complimentary tea, coffee, sugar, milk, cookies and wine were very much appreciated. The 4 bedrooms are very comfortable and are all a lovely size. The brand-new en suite in the master bedroom is a perfect addition.
We would love to return with all the family one Christmas or New Year’s Eve for another mini break.

The farmhouse is very big and comfortable. It is extremely well equipped with everything we needed for our stay (we were a group of 4 adults and 4 children). It is located in beautiful countryside with walks straight from the back door.
Samantha was the perfect host, she met us on arrival and gave us many suggestions for walks and things to do. She also provided breakfast and a nice homemade meal for dinner. We had a perfect weekend of wandering through the fields and forest nearby and playing board games and relaxing by the wood burner.
